134. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Finance the overall amount to date issued by way of settlement and or compensation in instances in which IBRC is and or was a defendant in cases regarding allegations of mis-selling of swaps and investments, mismanagement, negligence, breach of contract and breach of duty in view of the fact that the State is party to these cases; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by the Special Liquidators that any cases that IBRC has settled concerning the mis-selling of swaps and investments are subject to strict confidentiality agreements between the parties, which prohibit disclosure of any details pertaining to the settlement, and which also includes costs.
