Deputy Gary Gannon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of non-coursing greyhounds homed by the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust (IRGT) for each of the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024; the number of individuals who provide foster spaces for non-coursing greyhounds awaiting homes; the cost per week for each individual non-coursing greyhound kept in foster care and the total cost to Rásaíocht Con Éireann of funding the IRGT service, by year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
