British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly meeting postponed due to weather

The 56th plenary of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly (BIPA) has been postponed due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions in the UK and Ireland.

The meeting was to take place in Sligo today and tomorrow, 5 and 6 March.

Established in 1990, BIPA aims to promote co-operation between political representatives in Britain and Ireland. Its membership includes representatives from the UK Parliament, the Houses of the Oireachtas, the Scottish Parliament, the Northern Ireland Assembly, the Welsh Assembly, the High Court of Tynwald (Isle of Man) and the States of Guernsey and Jersey.
