The Committee on Justice and Equality launched a report on direct provision and the international protection application process in Leinster House today.
The Committee held a series of public hearings in May and June with stakeholder groups and visited direct provision centres in Mosney and Monaghan. The report concludes that the system needs root and branch reform or, preferably, replacement.
