Sub- Committee to consider Revised Estimates for Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine

6 Jun 2012, 10:53

Minister Simon Coveney TD will tomorrow morning attend a meeting of the Select Sub-Committee on Committee on Agriculture, Food and Marine.

The meeting will allow committee members to question the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine on the total expenditure and the priority areas for his Department.

Select Sub-Committee Chairman Andrew Doyle TD says: “This select sub-committee has an important role in considering legislation and reviewing estimates from the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine. Minister Coveney’s presence at tomorrow’s meeting allows the Sub-Committee to consider the 2012 revised estimates for public services for the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

“These estimates outline the overall proposed expenditure by the Department and give information on the sectors in which the money will be spent.”

The Select Sub-Committee meeting takes place tomorrow 7 June 2012 at 9:30 am in Committee Room 3 LH 2000.

Committee proceedings can be followed live online via this link.
