Joint Committee on Education to resume discussion on Mental Health Supports in Schools & Tertiary Education & separately a briefing on Junior Cert results

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science will meet tomorrow Tuesday, 25 October at 11am in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House to resume their roundtable discussion on Mental Health Supports and Tertiary Education and separately will receive a briefing on issues regarding 2022 Junior Cycle Examination results.

The meeting will be held in 2 sessions with the first session at 11am hearing from representatives from: 

·       Association of Secondary Teachers in Ireland (ASTI)

·       Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO)

·       Teachers Union of Ireland (TUI)

·       Union of Students in Ireland (USI)

·       Irish Second-Level Students' Union (ISSU)

·       Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT)

·       Fórsa

 

The second session will be a briefing from officials from the State Examinations Commission (SEC) and will commence at approximately 1pm.
