Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science continues discussion on the Future of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in Irish Education

The Joint Committee on Education, Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science meets tomorrow, Tuesday 18th April at 11am in Committee Room 2 to continue its roundtable discussion on the Future of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) in Irish Education.

The meeting in 2 sessions will hear from representatives from:

Session 1

11:15am – 1pm (approx.)

  • Dr Cornelia Connolly, Associate Professor, School of Education, College of Arts, Social Sciences & Celtic Studies, University of Galway
  • Professor Sarah McCormack, Professor in Energy Engineering, Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin
  • Dr Margaret Leahy, Head of the School of STEM Education, Innovation & Global Studies, Institute of Education, Dublin City University
  • Professor Hansa Venkat, Naughton Chair – Early Years / Primary STEM Education, Dublin City University
  • Dr Ann Marcus – Quinn, Lecturer in Technical Communication and Instructional Design, University of Limerick
  • Dr Áine Hyland, Emeritus Professor of Education, University College Cork
