Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach to discuss banking issues with representatives of Central Bank of Ireland

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, 20 September, at 1.30pm in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House with representatives of the Central Bank of Ireland, led by the Governor, Gabriel Makhlouf.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “The Committee welcomes this opportunity to meet with the Governor and officials from the Central Bank to discuss banking issues ahead of our next meeting with representatives of the banking sector on 27 September. Among the matters for discussions are interest rates and inflation, investment funds in the Irish property market, the regulation of investment schemes and the defective block redress scheme.”

The Joint Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and Taoiseach has 14 Members, nine from the Dáil and five from the Seanad.
