Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach to consider Committee State of Finance (No 2) Bill 2023

The Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach is scheduled to meet over three days this week for consideration of Committee Stage of the Finance (No 2) Bill 2023 with the Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath TD.

The meetings in Committee Room 3 of Leinster House are scheduled for:

Tuesday, 7 November – 2pm-10pm

Wednesday, 8 November – 10am-10pm

Thursday, 9 November – 10am-10pm.

Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “The Finance Bill is the legislation to implement Budget 2024 as announced by the Minister for Finance last month. The Bill provides for the imposition, repeal, remission, alteration and regulation of taxation, stamp duty, excise and related measures, and to make further provision in connection with finance and related matters. A total of 94 amendments have been submitted for consideration by the Select Committee and we look forward to meeting with Minister McGrath over the next three days to discuss the Bill and amendments.”

The Select Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform and Taoiseach comprises nine Members of Dáil Éireann.
