Committee on Budgetary Oversight to meet for discussion on the report by the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council on ‘What climate change means for Ireland’s public finances’

The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will meet today, Wednesday 28th February for discussion on the report by the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council at 5:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.

Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach Barry Cowen TD said “This evening’s meeting will allow us the opportunity to consider the report from the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council on ‘What climate change means for Ireland’s public finances’. We will look to the representatives from IFAC attending this evening to give insight on how Ireland’s legally binding target of climate neutrality by 2050 and our other climate targets can be attained whilst also adhering to the Government’s fiscal ambitions.”
