CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - KILDARE SOLDIER'S DISABLEMENT PENSIONS.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that Volunteer Thomas Clements, of Waverley Cottages, Curragh Edge, Curragh Camp, Army No. V.R. 3607, who attested on the 12th August, 1922, was discharged as medically unfit on the 8th February, 1924, as a result of being accidentally shot through the right side and arm by a comrade in Kildare Barracks on the 31st March, 1923; further, whether he is aware that Mr. Clements has completely lost the use of his right arm and is unable to work or provide for his wife and child, and whether he will have enquiries expedited with a view to awarding an adequate pension.

Mr. Clements was discharged from the Army on 3rd ultimo. A form of application for pension or gratuity was received on the 16th ultimo. His claim will be disposed of as soon as practicable.
