Vol. 13 No. 15

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF KILDARE LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he will expedite the division of the lands of Mooretown, No. U. 965, on the estate of Colonel Purdon Winters, Co. Kildare, recently acquired by the Land Commission, amongst the list of applicants recently sent in to the Department by the Maynooth Back to the Land Association.

Mr. HOGAN

The proceedings in connection with the acquisition and distribution of the lands of Mooretown on the estate of Colonel Purdon Winters are being dealt with as expeditiously as possible. The Commissioners will allocate these lands to purchasers in accordance with the provisions of Sec. 31 of the Land Act, 1923.

Will the Minister see to it that the Land Commission chooses the tenants from the list of applicants recently sent in, as these would be genuine congests and not men who might come from a distance and have economic holdings that the inspectors would not know anything about?

Mr. HOGAN

I will.
