Written Answers. - Balbriggan Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will take steps to acquire and divide the following grass lands in Balbriggan: 300 acres in Clonard and Flemington, held by William Ennis; 300 acres in Hampton and Barnageera, Balbriggan, held by Delta, Limited, and 250 acres in Bremore, Knocknagin and Tankardstown, held by Messrs. Cumiskeys.

The Land Commission have under consideration the question of the acquisition of 89 acres of the lands of Flemingstown and Toberstown held by William Ennis and have under inquiry his four holdings comprising 235 acres in the townlands of Clonard and Stephens-town, on the Leigh estate, with a view to ascertaining their suitability for resumption. The Land Commission have also under consideration the question of the acquisition of the estate of Delta, Limited, comprising an area of 541 acres of Hampton demesne and other lands. The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the acquisition of 188 acres of the lands of Bremore and Knocknagin, on the estate of the Reps. of William J. Cumiskey, deceased.
