Vol. 74 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Marketing of Pigs.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the alarming decrease of pig supplies in the country and the forthcoming changes in the constitution of the Bacon and Pigs Marketing Boards, he will consider the advisability of providing for representation of exporters of live pigs or members of the Pig Dealers' Association in any future proposals.

Though I do not accept without qualification the Deputy's reference to pig supplies, and though I am not in a position to give any undertaking as to the adoption of the suggestion contained in the latter part of the question, I will give it consideration.
