Vol. 110 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cahirciveen Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that proposals for a housing scheme for Cahirciveen have been under consideration in his Department for the past seven years, and if, in view of the fact that the position of housing accommodation in the area is now a matter of urgency, he will take steps to ensure that building operations are commenced at the earliest possible date.

Mr. Murphy

I understand that the Kerry County Council has decided to build 34 cottages at Cahirciveen, but no proposals on the matter have yet been submitted to my Department. On receipt of the particulars of the scheme I shall certainly have consideration of it expedited.
