The provisions of the Seanad Electoral (Panel Members) Act, 1947, are defective in regard to the filling of certain vacancies in the Seanad and in other respects. The position is being examined with a view to the preparation of amending legislation.
Has the Minister any idea when that legislation may be expected?
I could not say. It is under consideration at the moment.
