Vol. 147 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Fever Hospital Board Fees.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware that Stubbs' Mercantile Office is employed by the Dublin Fever Hospital Board for the recovery of patients' fees, and, if so, if he will make a statement in the matter.

The method employed by the Dublin Fever Hospital Board for the recovery of patients' fees is entirely a matter for the board. I have no functions in the matter.

It should, of course, be understood that the vast majority of patients in this hospital are entitled to, and receive, free treatment at the expense of the appropriate health authority under the infectious diseases scheme and consequently that no question of recovering fees from them arises.
