Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Salary and Emoluments of C.I.E. Directors.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the name, the salary and total emoluments of each member of the Board of Directors of C.I.E.

The particulars are as follows:—chairman (full-time): Mr. T.C. Courtney, £4,500 a year. Members (part-time): Mr. L. Ferris, Mr. P. J. Floyd, Mr. T.P. Hogan, Mr. E.H. Murphy, Mr. W. Murphy and Mr. J.T. O'Farrell, £500 a year each.

In addition to their remuneration the chairman and members are entitled, should they be permanently resident more than 15 miles from the G.P.O., Dublin, to a subsistence allowance of £2 a day and to free C.I.E. transport in respect of attendance at meetings of the board.
