Vol. 201 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cloghan (Offaly) Speed Limit

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government why there is a speed limit of 40 m.p.h. through Cloghan village, County Offaly, when it is 30 m.p.h. in every other town and village; and if he will alter the existing speed limit to 30 m.p.h., as this is a five-crossroads village.

There is a speed limit of 40 miles per hour in other villages in County Offaly besides Cloghan. On the general question of amending the Road Traffic (Speed Limits) Regulations, 1963, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to another question of his on 2nd instant.
