Vol. 216 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - West Galway Television Reception.

68.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the bad reception television viewers are receiving in West Galway; if so, if the television authorities are prepared to erect a booster station on one of the Connemara hills to overcome this difficulty; and if he will make a statement on this matter.

I understand that the Broadcasting Authority has made preparations to provide a television booster station at Corraun Hill and that this will improve reception in the area mentioned by the Deputy. It is expected that this station will be in operation about September next.
