Vol. 255 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bottled Gas Grants.

21.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power the areas in south Kerry where bottled gas grants are payable by his Department.

Grants for the installation of bottled gas are available to rural householders who have not been connected to the electricity supply and who, because of their location, can obtain connection only if they pay a special service charge which is equal to or more than the normal fixed charge applicable to their premises. The scheme is not confined to any particular rural area.

If the Deputy would give particulars of any application where difficulty has been experienced in obtaining the grant I will look into them.
