The initiation and implementation of proposals to provide for one-way traffic on streets in the Dublin city area is entirely within the competence of the Garda Commissioner and the Dublin Corporation. As such proposals are not notified to my Department, I have no information on any measures that may be under consideration for the location in question.
Does the Minister have to approve of proposals of this kind?
I am not informed of them. This is a matter for Dublin Corporation and the Garda authorties.
