asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if three industries (names supplied) have recently discontinued production at the Shannon Industrial Estate, County Clare; the number of jobs lost in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that only two of the companies named have discontinued production at the Shannon Industrial Estate, resulting in a job loss of eight in one and 65 in the other. I am not without hope, however, that both of these companies will resume production at some future date.
