Drilling and other ancillary work on the north Clare phosphate deposits under the supervision of my Department was completed in June, 1977. Bad ground conditions delayed the completion of the field work some three months beyond the projected completion date. I now expect that the follow-up appraisal studies will be completed in the near future.
