asked the Minister for Industry and Energy the actual level of lead in the petrol commonly used in the country.

According to tests carried out by the State Laboratory on samples of petrol imported for consumption in Ireland, the level of lead in these samples varied between 0.3 and 0.4 grammes per litre.
