The Act also provides, at subsection 2(e) of section 3, that the balance of the funds may be applied towards defrayal of the cost of (i) providing a Children's Court in the Dublin Metropolitan District (ii) certain other expenditure in relation to the courts and (iii) the provision of such civil legal aid services as the Minister for Justice may determine. No payments have yet been made under this subsection; the Minister for Justice has under consideration proposals for the allocation of moneys under item (iii).
