Following a recent meeting between representatives of the group, Galway County Council and my Department, the special contribution already approved for the scheme is being reviewed in my Department and a decision will be taken in the matter at an early date.
The allocation of grants to enable the scheme to proceed will be considered as soon as the question of the special contribution has been resolved.
