I understand from the ESB that it now intends to maintain this station in operation on a year to year basis. The relative uneconomic performance of the station precluded the ESB from entering into any longer term commitment. I understand from the ESB that the continued operation of the station will be largely determined by the continued local availability of suitable turf supplies.
