asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of any special advisers or assistants employed during 1986 in the sports section of her Department or in connection with the office of the Minister of State; the amount paid to each adviser and assistant during 1986; and the names of the persons involved.

Mr. Roy Dooney was employed as a special adviser to the Minister of State with responsibility for Sport from 23 June 1986. The cost of his remuneration from 23 June 1986 to 31 December 1986 was £10,151.61.
