asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the employment problems in Tipperary North Riding County Council leading to widespread short time working hours and consequent serious deterioration of services including deterioration in the condition of county roads; and if he will confirm that additional funds will be made available to alleviate the problems.

It is understood that short time working which commenced in Tipperary North Riding County Council on 18 February ended on 18 April 1988 and that full time working resumed from that date.
