Vol. 387 No. 7

Written Answers. - Tax Relief.

104.

asked the Minister for Finance when tax relief will be granted in respect of health expenses to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; when the application for this tax relief was received by the Revenue Commissioners; and if any problems have arisen in regard to this particular case to warrant the delay that has occurred so far.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer submitted a claim for relief in respect of health expenses to the inspector of taxes on 15 August 1988. On 22 September 1988, the inspector wrote to the taxpayer for information required to enable the claim to be processed. No response has been received from the taxpayer to date. The inspector will now write to the taxpayer in the matter.
