33 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence the reason for the delay in proposing a name for appointment as chairman of the Irish Red Cross to the President since the term of office of the outgoing chairman expired on 30 April last.

I expect that a chairman of the central council of the Irish Red Cross Society will be nominated in a matter of days.
