Question:

159 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of, (a) the procedures for the dismissal of (1) a county manager, (2) a county secretary and (3) a county engineer and (b) the guidelines, if any, which are in existence for such an eventuality.

The relevant provisions are contained in the County Management Act, 1940, the Local Government Acts, 1941 and 1955, and regulations made thereunder.
