110 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the reason residents in Carrick-on-Suir and secondary areas of County Tipperary no longer enjoy the availability of BBC and other outside stations; if this service will be restored; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that certain operators of illegal TV re-transmission systems in the areas mentioned by the Deputy switched off their systems some days ago. I assume that this is what the Deputy is referring to. The provision of a service in the area referred to is the responsibility of the licenced MMDS operator for the area.
