102 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice if she intends to introduce legislation to amend the 1908 Act with regard to control and responsibility of industrial schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7781/95]

I am at present preparing legislation to replace the Children Act, 1908. In that context, policy options in relation to industrial schools, functions in relation to which stand vested in the Minister for Education, are being examined.
