Vol. 476 No. 7

Written Answers. - Health Centre Facilities.

Austin Deasy

Question:

141 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health the current position regarding the upgrading and development of the health centre facilities in Dungarvan, County Waterford. [8145/97]

Limerick East): Major upgrading work and an extension of the existing health centre facilities in Dungarvan have been identified as a priority by the South-Eastern Health Board. Initial funding was provided by my Department for the commencement of this project in 1996 and the planning brief for the project has been developed.

The South-Eastern Health Board is now in consultation with my Department on funding requirements for 1997. These discussions will be finalised within the coming weeks, when definite decisions will be made regarding the commencement of work on this project.
