267 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department will provide funding in the 1998 Estimates for development work on the County Leitrim library headquarters at Ballinamore; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18038/97]
Sketch design and cost plan proposals for the development of a branch library and library headquarters in Ballinamore have been received in my Department and are being considered. However, having regard to the high level of demand for funding for library proposals generally, it is not possible to indicate when the Ballinamore proposals may be approved for funding.
