139 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the views of her Department on the destruction caused by the ongoing development in the Boyne Estuary; and the further action, if any, she is instructing her Department to undertake. [20690/99]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 23 and 139 together.
I presume that the Deputy is referring to the fact that the spoil from dredging works in the estuary is being spread over the polder at Stagrennan. My Department is satisfied that no significant or permanent damage is being caused by these works.
