Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of houses built in each of the last ten years; the number of social, local authority or voluntary houses; the number of houses built in the Dublin or greater Dublin region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The information requested on the number of houses built in each of the last ten years, the number of local authority houses built in Dublin or the greater Dublin area is published in the housing statistics bulletins, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The figures for voluntary/non-profit houses are recorded in the housing statistics bulletins from 1993 onwards.
