109 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the provisions which have been put in place to ensure the early provision of a new library in Kilcock, County Kildare, with particular reference to the need to relocate the Theresa Brayton Memorial; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Question:

116 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if funds will be made available to Kildare County Council to facilitate the carrying out of emergency repairs to the library at Kilcock, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3499/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 109 and 116 together.

The development of the public library service is, in the first instance, a matter for library authorities. There are no proposals before my Department seeking funding in relation to a library in Kilcock.
