191 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the reason he has refused to sanction the agreement reached between the Central and Regional Fisheries Board and SIPTU pertaining to pay increases; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28808/01]
I understand that the Deputy is referring to pay increases relating to the general operative grades in the fisheries boards. Accordingly, I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 182 on 13 November 2001 in which I confirmed that my Department has sanctioned the three pay increases applicable to these grades.
