In County Roscommon and County Longford, the relevant State development agencies are actively promoting the attraction of new industry and the expansion of existing industry, and providing training or re-training for workers affected by job losses. These counties are part of the Border, midlands and west region, a priority area for State agency promotion of enterprise investment and where more favourable incentives are available for this purpose.
