Michael Ring

Question:

161 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if any of the funding for the establishment of a heart and lung transplant unit in the Mater Hospital has been cut in the past two months; if funding has been cut to the Mater Hospital; if so, the amount by which it was reduced; and the position in this regard. [20971/02]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that there has been no cut in funding for the heart-lung transplantation programme in the past two months. Similarly, no cuts have been made to the Mater Hospital allocation.
