Committee on Children,Equality,Disability,Integration & Youth to discuss the Motion on Referral of proposed approval by Dáil Éireann of Civil Law Act 2022 & separately the refugee accommodation crisis

The Joint Committee on Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, 22 November to discuss the Motion on Referral to Joint Committee of proposed approval by Dáil Éireann of Civil Law Act 2022 ( Section 9(2) (Amount of Financial Contribution) Order 2022. Then separately the Committee will discuss the refugee accommodation crisis. 

The meeting will be broadcast from Committee Room 4 at 3pm and the discussion will hear from Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Roderic O’Gorman TD.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kathleen Funchion TD said “tomorrow’s meeting will allow our Committee to receive an update from Minister O’Gorman on the accommodation that is available to refugees coming to Ireland. We will look to get an accurate schedule on what is available and where for these people arriving to Ireland and what plans the Department has to help with the on-going accommodation crisis”
