Speaking ahead of the meeting, Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy Kathleen Funchion TD said “last week’s meeting proved very productive with the stakeholders from Le Chéile, Community Work Ireland, Ballymun For All and the Far Right Observatory giving the Committee valuable first-hand insight into refugee issues and aspects they face integrating upon arrival here.

We will again look to get first-hand insights on issues impacting refugees when they seek to access services. With the anniversary of the war in Ukraine last week, the Irish people continue to provide all the support and necessary resources for people looking for sanctuary and safety in Ireland.”
