The Committee on Budgetary Oversight will meet today, Wednesday 18th October for a Post-Budget Engagement with representatives from the Economic and Social Research Institute at 5:30pm in Committee Room 2 of Leinster House.
Speaking ahead of the meeting Committee Cathaoirleach Barry Cowen TD said “Our meeting today with the ESRI comes directly after the Government announced Budget 2024 last week. We look forward to discussing the ESRI’s analysis of the Budget”
The Committee continues to support the delicate balance the Government has to strike between the investment in public services and the need to maintain public finances on a sustainable footing in the current inflationary environment.
