Oireachtas marks 90 years since the first Irish State bank notes were issued

The Oireachtas Library & Research Service is marking 90 years since the first Irish state banknotes were entered into circulation. This month’s document in the display case is the 1929 report of the Currency Commission, which had been established to oversee the production and issue of the new currency.
