Vol. 2 No. 6

ADAPTATION OF BRITISH ENACTMENTS BILL. - NEW CLAUSE.

I have a new Clause to propose. It is a definition, and reads "In this Act (a) the expression `British Statute' shall, where the text so requires or admits, mean an Act of the Parliament of the late United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, which was on the 6th December, 1922, in force in the area now comprised in Saorstát Eireann.” I now move that this New Clause stand part of the Bill as Clause 19.

Motion made and question put:—"That New Clause 19 stand part of the Bill."

Agreed.
