Vol. 5 No. 8

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - CLARE MAN'S ARREST.

asked the Minister for Defence whether, in the case of James Barron, Newpark, Co. Clare, arrested at his home early in July, 1922, it is still proposed to hold him interned, in view of the fact that he had not borne arms in the irregular campaign.

GENERAL MULCAHY

The release of Mr. Barron had been ordered and was about to be effected when he went on hunger-strike. As a result of his action it will be necessary to reconsider the question of releasing him later.
