Vol. 10 No. 7

THE ADJOURNMENT. - DISTRESS IN CLARE.

I beg to move the adjournment until 3 o'clock to-morrow.

I gave notice that I would, on the adjournment, draw attention to the question of very acute agricultural distress in Clare, and the prospect of a bad situation there becoming worse. I see, however, that the Minister for Lands and Agriculture is not present. Neither is the Minister for Local Government and Public Health. Under the circumstances, I wonder whether I ought to proceed in their absence?

If the Deputy wishes I would raise no objection to his raising the question to-morrow after Deputy Johnson has raised another question. Would that be agreeable to him?

Will I get ample time? Deputy Johnson's motion is on the adjournment.

I would undertake to give the Deputy half an hour to-morrow.

Perhaps you could make it a little more than half an hour?

The Dáil rose at 7.10 p.m. until 3 o'clock on Thursday, 5th March, 1925.
